This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Ford F-150 pairs three engines — the 5.8L and 5.0L V8s and a 4.9L inline-six that could run as a bi-fuel gasoline and LPG unit — with two-door extended cab and standard cab pickup bodies. Five trims are on the list, from XL and XLT to Special, Eddie Bauer and the Lightning. Everything is arranged by system, so the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for a given job stay together.

Known issues on the 1995 F-150. The federal record for 1995 lists seven recalls. Two involve the seats: recliner-to-frame attaching bolts that could loosen, fatigue and fracture, letting a seat back suddenly recline, and a power lumbar wiring harness that the seat cushion support wires can chafe into a high-resistance short. A third covers the speed control deactivation switch, which may overheat, smoke or burn. Owners have filed 721 complaints with NHTSA, concentrated on the service brakes, engine and engine cooling, and the power train. Seat, brake and driveline procedures cover that ground.
