1992 Chevrolet G30 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1992 G30. Five recalls sit on the federal record for this year, and three of them affect control of the vehicle. A front lower control arm can crack at the flange near the ball joint pad, and if the ball joint separates the driver loses steering. A brake pedal pushrod pin of the wrong size, fitted in the wrong position, shortens master cylinder stroke and cuts braking capability. Rear door windows built without the riveted seal assemblies may not stay in place in a crash. Two complaints are recorded. Front suspension, brake and glass procedures are specified here.
