Known issues on the 1988 G30. Two recalls are on the federal record for this model year, both of them for replacement filters used in service. A fuel filter that does not seal at its connection can let gasoline escape, and near an ignition source that becomes a fire. An oil filter with the same fault lets the engine lose its oil, again with fire the stated risk. One owner complaint, on engine and engine cooling, is otherwise all that is recorded.
