Known issues on the 1989 E-250 Econoline Club Wagon. Just two recalls exist for the 1989 wagon. One involves the dual fuel tank selector valve, which can malfunction and overfill a tank until fuel spills past the filler cap. The other concerns a snap ring on the transmission output shaft that may fracture, leaving the park gear unable to hold the wagon if the parking brake is not set. Seven owner complaints are logged with NHTSA, mostly on the fuel and electrical systems, with one on the seats. Tank and selector valve service, transmission internals and seat mounting torque values are all covered here.
