Known issues on the 1986 E-250 Econoline Club Wagon. NHTSA's record for this wagon holds six recalls. Two of them describe fuel being forced out where it should not be: severe-duty underhood temperatures and fuel system pressures pushing fuel from the filler pipe, and a separate campaign on fuel expulsion caused by overpressurization. A third, from an aftermarket supplier, covers replacement fuel pumps that could leak and become a fire hazard. Eight owner complaints sit with NHTSA, weighted toward the electrical system, the fuel system and engine cooling. Fuel delivery, tank venting and the charging and starting circuits all have procedures, specifications and diagnostics in this manual.
