Known issues on the 1987 G2500. Two recalls stand on the federal record for the 1987 G2500. One covers replacement fuel filters whose connection may not seal, letting fuel leak where an ignition source could set it alight; the other covers replacement oil filters that can seal inadequately and lose engine oil, again with a fire risk. Two owner complaints are logged with NHTSA, one on seat belts and one on wheels. Fuel delivery and lubrication procedures, restraint and wheel torque values, and the diagnostics that go with them are all in this manual.
