This factory service and repair manual for the 2023 Ford Transit-250 covers Base and PTV trims over seven body configurations, with a naturally aspirated flex-fuel 3.5L V6 and a turbocharged gasoline 3.5L V6 as the engine choices. Standard and extended cargo vans, a crew van, a cutaway and a cab and chassis are all in scope. The mechanical package is shared, so the engine, transmission and brake specifications apply across the range, while the wiring diagrams and body procedures track the differences between configurations.

Known issues on the 2023 Transit-250. Eight recalls are recorded federally for this model year. One follows up on vans repaired incorrectly under earlier campaigns, where an incorrect steering coupler cover was installed; one covers a defroster and climate control kit fitted through a special vehicle accessory package; and one covers rear axles left with too little lubricant, which can damage and seize the tail bearing. Fuel tank welding, tire clearance on Trail-equipped vans, a generator fuel hose, camera hardware and wheelchair restraints make up the remainder. Owners have filed 72 complaints with NHTSA, with no dominant category. Steering, axle, fuel and climate control procedures are all covered here.
