Known issues on the 2022 Sierra 3500 HD. Three recalls reach this model year. The first involves the bolts holding the brake pressure modulator valve, which if under-tightened let water into the assembly and can short it into a fire. The second is a tailgate release switch that shorts after water intrusion and can unlatch the gate while the truck is moving. The third is a transmission control valve failure that locks the rear wheels. Thirty-one complaints spread across power train, the electrical system and tires, and the brake, transmission and body sections here cover that ground.
