Known issues on the 2017 Sierra 3500 HD. Seven recalls are on record. Two involve the optional engine block heater, whose cord and terminals can short and start a fire. Two more cover front air bags and belt pretensioners that may not deploy. One describes front seat belt retractors built with the wrong torsion bar, so they will not restrain as designed. The remaining two are fuel storage faults: a front tank overfilled by the rear until it rubs the driveshaft, and a rear tank that can collapse and starve the engine into a stall. Complaints reach 74, led by power train and brakes.
