Known issues on the 2020 Atlas. Four recalls on the federal record name the 2020 Atlas. Certain 2020 Atlas vehicles fitted with accessory side steps lacked the reduced weight-rating label that the added steps require, which risks overloading; dealers applied the label. Certain vehicles were also recalled because contacts in the front door harness can corrode and delay a side air bag in a side impact. Another campaign covering certain 2020 Atlas vehicles addressed a tire pressure monitor that might not flag all four tires losing pressure at the same moment. Owners have lodged 27 complaints, most often about the electrical system (11), air bags (8) and forward collision avoidance (7).
