Known issues on the 2019 CX-5. Stalling is the thread running through the 2 recalls for the 2019 CX-5. In certain vehicles, a crack or deformation in the impeller of the low-pressure fuel pump could make the pump quit and the engine stall, and dealers put in new fuel pumps. A second recall, for certain vehicles, concerns powertrain control module software whose error could stall the engine unexpectedly; dealers reprogrammed the module. Owners have made 270 complaints, 131 of them about the engine and 46 about the electrical system; 7 reported a crash, 4 an injury and 2 a fire.
