Of the 4 recalls recorded for the 2016 CX-5, one covered 36,761 vehicles: certain 2016 CX-5 vehicles whose LED daytime running lights could fail while driving, making the vehicle harder to see; dealers inspected the headlights, replacing assemblies or sealing gaskets where needed. Certain vehicles from set production windows were also recalled for front strut bolts at the steering knuckle that could loosen and let the knuckle separate, and for a fuel filler pipe that could rupture in a crash.
