2017 Cadillac ATS Service and Repair Manual
This manual for the 2017 Cadillac ATS is built around your specific engine and trim combination, so the torque values, wiring routes, and diagnostic steps you get are the ones Cadillac published for this configuration, not a generic figure pulled from a similar model year. Depending on how your ATS is equipped, that means procedures written for the 2.0L L4 (LTG), the 3.6L V6 (LGX), or the twin-turbo 3.6L V6 (LF4).

Known issues on the 2017 ATS. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both trace back to the electric power steering assist system. The first, issued in 2019, covers an EPS assist failure that would require a higher steering effort, especially at lower speeds, raising the risk of a crash. GM issued a second, separate recall on the same electric power steering assist system in 2025, again for a loss of assist that increases steering effort at low speed and raises crash risk. Owners have filed 32 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures for the EPS system are here.
Whether you're chasing a steering-assist fault, working through the LF4's turbo plumbing, or handling a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM specification for your specific 2017 ATS.
