Known issues on the 2013 ATS. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Non-recessed sunroof switches can be pressed inadvertently, causing the roof panel to close on its own and raising the risk of personal injury. The coil antenna module that powers the rear defogger can overheat from excessive cycling, increasing fire risk. An incomplete weld on the front seat hook bracket can let the seat come loose under a high-load event such as a crash, increasing the risk of occupant injury. The driver and passenger lap belt pretensioner cables may fail to lock in the retracted position, allowing the belt to extend when pulled and reducing restraint in a crash. The transmission shift cable can detach from its bracket, so the indicated gear may not match the actual gear and the transmission may not truly be in Park even when selected, creating a rollaway risk. And the brake lamps can flash or illuminate when the car isn't slowing, which can mislead a following driver and increase the risk of a crash.
