Known issues on the 2014 Spark. Six recalls stand on the federal record. The most serious is a suspension fault: front lower control arm bolts left under-torqued can allow the arm to part from the steering knuckle while the car is moving, taking the steering with it. Two more cover a secondary hood latch that corrodes at the pivot and can let the hood swing open at speed. The rest involve radios that fail to sound warning chimes or lock up with a blank display.
