This factory service and repair manual for the 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis answers to one specification only — an LS four-door sedan with the 4.6L V8 of 281 cubic inches, single overhead cam, naturally aspirated, running flex-fuel. Known issues on the 2011 Grand Marquis. Two recalls sit on the federal record, and both concern a steering shaft that can come apart. One covers an upper intermediate shaft that may not have been serviced correctly at an earlier repair; the other covers a lower bearing that can separate. Either way the driver is left without steering control. Complaints are few at nine, with three on the electrical system, two on steering and one on the tires.
