Known issues on the 2007 Grand Marquis. Three recalls are on the federal record. One is a body defect: the windshield may not be properly secured to the body, which brings wind noise, squeaks, rattles and water leaks, and reduces occupant protection in a crash because the glass may not stay put. The other two are steering — an upper intermediate shaft that can separate after improper servicing, and a lower bearing that can separate — each ending in a loss of steering control. Of 96 complaints, 23 concern the tires, 18 the structure and 11 speed control.
