Known issues on the 2011 Mazda 3. The 2011 Mazda 3 appears in 2 recalls, and owners submitted 132 complaints. Certain 2011 Mazda 3 vehicles fitted with a manual seat lifter were recalled because the links that set seat height could snap or pull away from the seat frame, letting the seat tilt out of position; dealers inspected the links and either added a reinforcing bracket or replaced the seat adjuster. Certain cars from a specific production window were also recalled for liftgate struts that could corrode and break, with new struts to be fitted once parts arrived.
