Known issues on the 2010 Mazda 3. Of the 3 recalls on the 2010 Mazda 3, the one covering 25,400 vehicles involved certain cars whose engine harness might sit too close to the starter; vibration could chafe through its covering and short wires against the starter, blowing the main fuse and stalling the engine. Dealers inspected the harness, fitted a protective clip and, where needed, repaired it. Certain cars with a manual seat lifter were recalled because lifter links could break loose and tilt the seat. The third involves liftgate struts that could corrode and break on certain cars built within a specific production window. Owners lodged 686 complaints, clustering on structure (169) and seats (106).
