Known issues on the 2009 Cobalt. Six recalls appear for this model year. One is the column shift arrangement, which can leave the driver unable to restart the car and the car free to roll away after everyone has stepped out. Two more concern ignition switches, whether the key can leave the switch out of off or the switch itself drifts out of run and takes the air bags down with it.
