Known issues on the 2007 Cobalt. Six recalls are recorded for this year. Two of them describe fuel pump assemblies that can leak, with fire possible if the leak finds an ignition source. Another two concern the ignition: the key can be removed while the switch is not in the off position, allowing a rollaway, and a switch that slips out of run stalls the engine and leaves the air bags unable to fire. Sudden loss of electric power steering assist accounts for another. Of 1,564 complaints, 688 are on steering, 260 on fuel and propulsion and 185 on the electrical system.
