Known issues on the 2008 Aveo. One recall stands against this model year, and it concerns heat generated inside the daytime running light module in the center console, which can melt the module and lead to a fire. Owner complaints total 163. Air bags draw the most at 51, then the electrical system at 36 and exterior lighting at 19, a pattern pointing at the restraint and body electrical circuits.
