Known issues on the 2005 Aveo. One recall appears on the federal record for this year: heat building inside the daytime running light module, mounted in the center console, can melt the module and start a fire. Complaints reach 235, and they concentrate first on the engine and engine cooling with 61, then on the electrical system with 58 and exterior lighting with 17. Those three clusters land squarely in the manual's cooling system procedures, its wiring diagrams for the interior and lighting circuits, and the diagnostic charts that trace a lamp fault back to its supply.
