Known issues on the 2007 Aveo. Two recalls sit on the federal record. One is the daytime running light module in the center console, which can overheat, melt and cause a fire. The other came out of severe frontal crash testing, where a fuel line in the engine compartment fractured while crash damage shorted the fuse block, letting the fuel pump keep running and pumping fuel onto the ground. Of the 216 complaints recorded, air bags lead with 71, ahead of the electrical system at 40 and exterior lighting at 18, all systems this manual diagnoses circuit by circuit.
