Known issues on the 2007 Ram 2500. Eight recall campaigns name this truck in the federal record. On certain 2007 Ram 2500 trucks with the larger inline-six diesel, a sound-insulating pad under the hood could droop onto the EGR cooler and start an engine compartment fire; dealers added a support bracket. Certain four-wheel-drive trucks built within a set window face a left tie rod that may break, and certain manual-transmission trucks from a limited window had clutch interlock switch springs that could fail.
