Known issues on the 2006 Ram 2500. There are 6 recalls on record. On certain 2006 Ram 2500 trucks with four-wheel antilock brakes, the ABS control unit could upset front-to-rear brake balance and let the rear wheels lock early; the unit was replaced. Certain manual-transmission trucks from a limited window had clutch interlock switch springs that could break, and certain four-wheel-drive trucks built within a set window risk a broken left tie rod. Steering leads the 669 complaints at 231, ahead of the electrical system (131) and exterior lighting (122), and 34 complaints reported a crash.
