Known issues on the 2007 S4. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both concern the passenger-side frontal air bag inflator module. The first involves an inflator that can explode from propellant degradation, sending sharp metal fragments toward the driver or other occupants and risking serious injury or death. The second involves a related inflator rupture that can throw metal fragments into the cabin with the same risk of serious injury or death. Remedy

Consequence
An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy
Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 30, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.
