Porsche's own campaign covers the low-beam headlights: the caps that cover the horizontal adjustment screws are missing, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted, and improperly adjusted headlights may not illuminate the road properly, or cause a glare to oncoming drivers, which can increase the risk of a crash. It reaches 2001-2004 Boxster and Boxster S cars along with the 2004 Boxster 50 JAHRE SPYDER 550, and those vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. The other two are equipment recalls on aftermarket combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies sold for various passenger vehicles — 16,270 assemblies from SaberSport and 42,540 from DOPE, Inc. — which do not contain the required amber side reflectors and likewise fail to conform to Standard No. 108; decreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash. Owners have filed 4 complaints for the year.
