The federal record holds 10 recalls for the 2002 Bravada, and owners lodged 238 complaints, led by the power train at 53, the electrical system at 47 and engine and engine cooling at 46; 18 reported a crash, 11 an injury and 7 a fire. On certain vehicles equipped with the computer-controlled air suspension, that system could send a voltage spike that could upset the powertrain control module and stall the engine; a wiring harness was added.
