Known issues on the 1997 900. NHTSA holds 3 recalls against the 1997 900. One of them affected certain cars in which the zinc-coated throttle lever bushing could corrode, bind and keep the throttle plate from closing when the driver lifted off; dealers fitted a nickel-coated bushing and bolt. The other two dealt with missing information on certain cars: an air bag warning label absent from the driver's sun visor, and headlamp aiming instructions left out of the owner's material.
