1992 Isuzu Trooper Service and Repair Manual

An all-new, larger Trooper went on sale in spring 1991 as a 1992 model. The four-door came in S trim with a 175-horsepower 3.2L SOHC V6 or LS trim with a 190-horsepower DOHC version of the same engine, part-time four-wheel drive with automatic-locking hubs, and a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Known issues on the 1992 Trooper. Two recalls are on federal record. They cover an accelerator cable that can stick so engine speed does not drop right away when the pedal is released, and a camshaft seal end plug that can work loose from the cylinder head and leak oil. NHTSA has also logged 29 owner complaints, most often about the engine and cooling system and the service brakes.
