Known issues on the 1992 Century. Three recalls name the 1992 Century. On certain station wagons with remote entry modules, a module fault could randomly trigger the interior lamps, the locks or the tailgate release, and an opened tailgate could let unbelted rear occupants fall out; that recall covered 33 vehicles. Certain cars with the four-speed automatic could have a reverse servo apply pin bind, bringing slipping in reverse, drag in drive, or a transmission stuck in reverse while showing neutral. The hydraulic service brakes account for 12 of 45 owner complaints; 10 complaints described a crash, 8 an injury, 2 a fire and 1 a death.
