Known issues on the 1982 Century. Brakes and fuel containment are the subjects of the 2 recalls on the 1982 Century. On certain cars, the metal end fittings on the rear brake hoses may have been attached badly, so a hose could pull free of its fitting under the load the brake hose standard sets; hoses were inspected and replaced as needed. On certain cars the clamps on the fuel filler pipe and its vent pipe could crack, letting fuel leak at the hose joints while refueling or while driving with the tank more than three-quarters full.
