1990 Chevrolet K3500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1990 Chevrolet K3500 is built for a truck with a short body list and a long engine list. The bodies are all two-door — standard cab pickup, extended cab pickup and cab and chassis — while the engines run to three: a 7.4L gasoline V8 of 454 cubic inches, a 6.2L diesel V8 of 379, and a 5.7L gasoline V8 of 350. Cheyenne, Scottsdale and Silverado trims change the equipment, and with it the circuits shown in the wiring diagrams.

Known issues on the 1990 K3500. The federal record carries two recalls for this year. In the first, incorrect guidance on setting the rear lap-shoulder belts can leave a belt adjusted so that it will not properly restrain an occupant in a sudden stop or a crash. In the second, a replacement fuel filter can form a poor seal at its connection and leak gasoline, which can ignite. Three owner complaints have been recorded, one each on structure, visibility and suspension. Belt anchorage, fuel system and suspension procedures are all specified in this manual.
