Known issues on the 1990 K2500. The federal record carries three recalls for the 1990 truck. A replacement oil filter can seal badly and let the engine drain its oil. A replacement fuel filter can seal badly at the connection and leak gasoline where an ignition source could reach it. And rear lap-shoulder belts were supplied with incorrect adjustment instructions, so a belt set by them would not restrain an occupant in a crash or hard stop. Three complaints are on record, one each on the suspension, the electrical system and the power train, each with its own diagnostic material here.
