Known issues on the 1985 Thunderbird. One recall is on federal record for the 1985 Thunderbird, and it concerns the brakes: master cylinders with improperly anodized internal surfaces can wear a piston seal quickly, leaving one half of the split hydraulic system ineffective and lengthening stopping distances.
