Known issues on the 1985 E-350 Econoline. Eight recalls sit on the federal record here. Two of them repeat a heater hose routing problem that could let the hose wear through and start a fire under the hood; another concerns the rubber around the ball stud joining the steering drag link to the pitman arm, which could deteriorate to metal-on-metal contact and eventually separate. Owners have filed three complaints with NHTSA, two of them about the electrical system and one about tires.
