Known issues on the 1982 E-350 Econoline. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers aftermarket fuel pumps whose diaphragms could leak and create a fire hazard; a second concerns a transmission shift rod that may not be seated in the steering column shift lever grommet, leaving the driver unable to select the intended gear; a third involves a fuel sender ground wire fastener that pierced the tank in a rear barrier impact.
