The 1982 Cadillac Seville factory service and repair manual is matched to this exact model year and trim, so the specifications and torque sequences it gives are the ones Cadillac published for the Seville rather than a close-enough figure borrowed from a related GM sedan.

Known issues on the 1982 Seville. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the fuel filters: they were produced with an incorrect threaded fitting similar enough in size that the filter may appear to be correctly threaded onto the fuel line. The second covers the accelerator cable bracket: some of the involved vehicles contain an incorrect bracket that could allow the cruise control servo rod to bind on it. The third covers the fuel injection pump: under certain operating conditions the governor weight retainer may fail, and the throttle valve could stick, preventing return to idle and shut down of the engine by the driver. The fourth covers the fusible link protecting the ignition-switch-fed electrical circuits: it can come open while the rear window defogger is in operation, and if the twilight sentinel switch is on and the headlight switch is off, that open link results in a loss of headlights. No complaints and no technical service bulletins are logged for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From a fuel filter swap to chasing an intermittent throttle-return issue on the fuel injection pump, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and correct specification for your specific 1982 Seville.
