2023 BMW X1 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2023 BMW X1 covers just two trims, sDrive18i and xDrive28i, in a single four-door sport utility body. The engines are a turbocharged 1.5L inline-three and a turbocharged 2.0L inline-four of 122 cubic inches, both DOHC and both gasoline. Known issues on the 2023 X1. Six recalls are recorded. Four concern the integrated brake system: the unit can malfunction and cost the driver power brake assist while leaving the antilock and stability control functions unreliable, and in one of them the welds inside the servomotor of the brake control module can break, taking rear braking with them. Another covers second-row outboard belts pinched by an interior trim panel during assembly, and another a driver's front air bag that may not deploy. Owners have logged 70 complaints, 39 on the service brakes and 13 on stability control.
