2020 BMW X3 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2020 X3. Sixteen recalls sit on the federal record, several of them structural or safety-critical. Front axle swivel bearings that were not heat treated properly can break and take vehicle control with them. On some cars the steering rack pinion teeth can fracture under load, again costing steering control. And debris left inside hybrid battery cells during production can short-circuit them, raising the risk of fire. Complaints total 109, with 33 on the electrical system, 18 on the engine and 14 on the power train — all covered by the diagnostics and specifications in this manual.
