Known issues on the 2016 X3. Five recalls are on the federal record and most of them involve heat or fuel. Two cover an exhaust gas recirculation module that can leak coolant into the intake stream, melting the manifold and risking a fire; another covers a high-pressure fuel pump that can fail and stall the engine. An impeller fault in the coolant pump can short electrically and start a fire, and damaged lower child seat anchor bars make up the fifth.
