Known issues on the 2020 S5. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers rear axle misalignment left uninspected after an earlier repair, which can cause premature or uneven tire wear and raise the risk of a crash. The second covers a trailing arm lock nut on the rear axle that can break from stress corrosion, misaligning the axle and causing a loss of control. The third covers a wiring fault between the seat heater and the Passenger Occupant Detection System that can make the system misdiagnose a malfunction and disable the passenger air bag. The fourth covers a rear wiring harness missing anti-abrasion protection near the spare wheel well, which can let the wires be damaged in a rear crash, disabling the exterior door releases and hazard lights.
