This factory service and repair manual for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 stretches across three body styles: the four-door sedan, the two-door convertible and the two-door coupe. All of them share one engine in the data, a 2.0L inline-four that is turbocharged, runs on gasoline and uses double overhead cams. Four trims are listed, Base, 4Matic, Convertible and Coupe. Body procedures and wiring diagrams therefore have to account for the open two-door and the coupe as well as the sedan, alongside the engine specifications and torque values.

Known issues on the 2018 E300. Seven recalls name this year on the federal record, and owners have logged 31 complaints, with engine at 9, electrical system at 7 and power train at 5; one of those complaints reported a crash and two reported an injury. On certain rear-wheel-drive versions a locknut inside the steering rack could fracture under heavy load and jam the steering, so dealers fitted a new rack. Certain cars had a battery terminal cover that left the positive cable exposed, so a strut brace crushed in some crashes could short the battery, raising fire risk and disabling emergency door unlocking for rescuers. Steering, battery and wiring procedures appear in the manual.
