This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Mercedes-Benz E300 covers the diesel version of the sedan, and its engine is the heart of the matter: a 3.0L inline-six with double overhead cams, naturally aspirated, running on diesel fuel. The car was listed in one body style, the four-door sedan, and one trim, Base. Diesel work calls for its own fuel system procedures, and the manual pairs them with specifications, torque values and wiring diagrams for the engine and the body electrical systems.

Known issues on the 1995 E300. Owners have filed 32 complaints about this year, and 26 of them concern the electrical system, with 4 more on engine and engine cooling and 2 on suspension; one of those complaints reported a fire. NHTSA also filed one recall against the 1995 E-Class line for certain cars in which the metal footrest on the passenger side could rub through the wiring harness beneath it, risking a short that might overheat wires, stall the engine or set off an airbag. Dealers added cable ties and edge guards. The 1995 E-Class line drew 14 further complaints, mostly electrical. Wiring diagrams, electrical diagnostics and engine procedures address those systems.
