Known issues on the 2018 Challenger. NHTSA lists 3 recalls on the 2018 Challenger. Certain 2018 Challenger vehicles have a powertrain control module whose voltage regulator chip could fail, leaving the car stalled or unable to start; dealers replaced the module. In certain 2018 Challenger vehicles, the wrong park lock rod may have gone into the transmission, so the car might not hold in park. Certain 2018 Challenger vehicles were also recalled over cruise control that a wiring short could keep engaged. There are 75 owner complaints: electrical system 28, power train 8, steering and wheels 6 apiece. Of them, 9 reported a crash and 5 an injury.
