2012 Dodge Challenger Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2012 Challenger. NHTSA lists 6 recalls against this model year. Certain 2012 Challenger vehicles with the six-cylinder engine and a specified alternator, built within a set window, could suffer sudden alternator failure and stall. Certain 2012 Challenger vehicles from a stated build window may have poorly sized terminal crimps in the seat side air bag wiring that could compromise deployment. A frontal air bag inflator on certain 2012 Challenger vehicles could burst from excess pressure, and owners were told not to drive until it was replaced. Owners lodged 252 complaints, 138 of them on the electrical system; 11 reported a crash, 8 a fire and 7 an injury.
