Known issues on the 2018 Pacifica. NHTSA lists 15 recalls for the 2018 Pacifica. On certain 2018 Pacifica plug-in hybrid vehicles, the battery pack could ignite even when parked and switched off, so owners were told to stop charging and park outside away from structures until it was repaired. On certain plug-in hybrid vans, the low-voltage isolator post behind the driver seat could develop resistance and overheat. On certain 2018 Pacifica plug-in hybrid vans, a short in an internal transmission wiring connector could shut the engine down without warning. Owners filed 1,092 complaints, led by engine (436) and electrical system (370); 30 reported a crash, 26 a fire and 15 an injury.
