Known issues on the 2015 XJ. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the air bag system: an incorrect owner's manual description of the Occupant Sensor System means the printed guidance does not correspond with the actual Air Bag Status Indicator Lamp, leaving occupants without an accurate understanding of how the air bag functions. The second covers the hydraulic brake lines, where leaking fluid at the brake line junctions under the vehicle can reduce braking ability and require additional stopping distance. The third covers the alternator and Front End Accessory Drive system, where a loosening battery positive cable can create an electrical short and fire risk, and a detached FEAD belt can cause loss of power-assisted steering.
