2010 Jaguar XJ Service and Repair Manual
Fitment is what makes this one worth having: the factory service and repair manual is tied to the 2010 Jaguar XJ and to the exact engine and trim you are working on, so the clearances, torque figures and test sequences you follow are the ones Jaguar published for this car instead of a value carried over from an adjacent model year.

Known issues on the 2010 XJ. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and two of them are restraint faults. The first covers the frontal air bags: Restraint Control Module software may cause them to deploy improperly in a frontal impact, and air bags that fail to deploy properly increase the risk of injury in a crash. The second also traces back to the Restraint Control Module, where a software update that is not successfully received during servicing can leave the default air bag calibration settings incorrect, so the air bags may not deploy as intended in a crash. The third covers the windshield wipers: the front wiper arm to spindle fixings were not torqued to specification during manufacturing, and if the securing nuts fail to hold, the wiper arms can lose synchronization and clash, detach from the vehicle, and reduce the driver's visibility. No owner complaints are logged for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you are reading Restraint Control Module fault codes, verifying the wiper spindle nut torque, or servicing either version of the 5.0L V8, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct figure for your specific 2010 XJ.
